Felix Valentine was a cat burglar in New York City who specialized in whips and grapple hooks. During a robbery one night, Valentine decided to rob a science lab. He took some valuable machines and what he thought was a special chemical. however, it was actually a quarantined symbiote, which bonded with him. Upon being discovered by the security, Valentine dove out of a window and into a river 150 feet below. Upon escaping, Valentine tore down the entire building. Calling himself "Yazoo", after the river he dove into, Valentine joined Aether's symbiote army.
