Warlock is a shapeshifting alien. He is a teacher at the Jean Grey Institute for Higher Learning. Originally, he was a genetic experiment created by the Shi'ar to fight in the war between their people and the Kree, but Warlock soon developed a mind of his own and ran away. He arrived on Earth, and was discovered hiding in the woods by the Jean Grey Institute.
