Powers and Abilities


The Green Marksman is a Maximum-level superhuman with unerring accuracy and the ability to transform himself into a living projectile, as well as transform his forearms into any type of firearm.

  • Peak Human Physiology: Although the Green Marksman is one of the youngest of the Maximums, he possesses a peak human physiology. His agility and reflexes rival Stryker’s and Heatstroke’s, although he could never hope to compare to Cheetari. He is capable of benching up to 700 lbs under standard conditions.
  • Superhuman Vision and Eyesight: The Green Marksman possesses superhumanly keen and perfect vision and eyesight. He is able to see up to a mile away under standard conditions. He possesses the ability to see clearly at night, though not in absolute darkness. His eyes are seemingly immune to damage, and are seemingly unaffected by bright lights, dust or other particles, high-speed winds, etc.
  • Superhuman Accuracy and Aim: The Green Marksman possesses superhuman accuracy and aim that is unmatched by any other in the Maximum Universe, not even by Mister Melee. He is able to throw, hurl, and/or launch any object at incredible speeds, granting him the ability to take virtually any object and use it in combat as an effective weapon. He possesses such precise control over his accuracy and aim, that he is able to incapacitate even a super-speedster like Bluemoon without much effort (although he can only hit him if he is within a reasonable distance.)
  • Superhuman Hand-Eye Coordination: He possesses such phenomenal hand-eye coordination that he is able to create inconceivable trick shots that can confuse even the most concentrated opponents.
  • Ambidexterity: The Green Marksman is ambidextrous, which means that he is able to use and throw weapons in both hands with equal proficiency.
  • Spatial Awareness: The Green Marksman possesses a superhuman sense of spatial awareness that has been used time and again with his superhuman hand-eye coordination, which has enabled him to create the most inconceivable trick shots imaginable, hitting multiple targets with one shot.
  • Pressure Point and Vulnerability Detection: The Green Marksman possesses the ability to detect, locate, and lock-on to any/every pressure point and/or vulnerable spot on the body of any living being or object.
  • Lock-on: The Green Marksman possesses the ability to telepathically lock-on to any living being or object at will. This causes all of his projectiles to follow his target until they reach impact. The Green Marksman possesses complete control over the exact target of his choice, such as a weapon, a body part, even a molecule on someone’s arm. It seems that when he locks on to something, his projectiles are able to make sudden turns in split-seconds in order to attack targets that may try to hide behind obstacles.
  • Projectile-proof Skin: The Green Marksman possesses bulletproof skin that possesses the hardness of diamond. This makes him invulnerable to any kind of projectile, even missiles.
  • Thermo-chemical Thrust Propulsion: The Green Marksman possesses the ability to bodily generate thermo-chemical energy and release it from his skin. This energy is used as thrust to cause his body to be propelled through the air, like a cannonball, at great heights and speeds with considerable maneuverability. He can control his speed and direction through sheer act of will. He can fire it from almost any part of his body, to a wide variety of effects, mostly for jet propulsion through his feet, granting him phenomenal flight capabilities. This energy also manifests itself as an impenetrable and virtually indestructible “blast field”. He can use this blast-field to: function as a personal shield or extending it to encompass others, shape the field around another person to imprison them, or absorb outside kinetic impact into his own energy supply, and then re-channel it to increase the bludgeoning power of his blows or create explosive shock waves upon impact.
  • Transformation- Forearms into Firearms: The Green Marksman possesses the ability to transform one or both of his forearms into any form of firearm or projectile launcher imaginable at will, including bows, blowguns, mini-catapults, slingshots, slings, pistols, machine guns, submachine guns, assault rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles, missile launchers, etc. He can even transform one or both of his forearms into grappling hook launchers in order to grasp onto tall buildings. The ammunition utilized in these firearms is actually pure energy that is constantly being drawn from hyperspace and absorbed into his body. It appears that the Green Marksman is able to morph the energy he absorbs subconsciously into the form of the projectile of his choosing. It also appears that he possesses an infinite amount of ammunition at his disposal.
  • Kinetic Energy Transferance: Jake has the power to take the potential energy stored in an object and convert it to kinetic energy thus “charging” that item with explosive results. He prefers to charge smaller objects, such as balls or cards, as the time required to charge them is greatly reduced and they are much easier for him to throw. The only real limitation to this ability is the time required to charge the object. The larger it is the more time it takes. Most charging takes place through direct skin contact.
  • Longitudinal Object Transmutation: The Green Marksman possesses the superhuman power to transform longitudinal objects into various unknown forms of energy. He can imbue any such object with this energy, but the amount of energy varies with the size of the object. The Green Marksman must throw the object in order to transform it into energy. By throwing it, he can also charge the object with energy without actually transforming it to energy. Depending on the form of energy with which he imbues them, the Green Marksman's weapons can stun, paralyze, kill, explode, or disintegrate a living victim or inanimate target.
