History

Rise to Fame

Dorothy Walker and her daughter Patricia lived in a one bedroom apartment before Trish became a star. As a child, Walker was an actress who played a red-headed character named "Patsy" on a television show called It's Patsy. Though she had fans that practically worshiped her with gifts, was the highest paid child star in television history, and even had a popular toy line and comic book, Walker hated that time of her life, wishing even into adulthood that she could be a superhero. It did not help that Dorothy was controlling and abusive toward her daughter.

Decay and sister Jessica

Dorothy's meddling and Walker's difficulties with fame led to erratic behavior. She became a drug addict, and seemingly caused a fire in a nightclub. For damage control, Dorothy decided to adopt one of Patsy's acquaintances, Jessica Jones, after Jones lost her entire family in a car crash. During an argument, Dorothy hit Patsy in the arm with a People's Choice Award. Walker entered the bathroom where Jones was unpacking and discovered that Jones had super-strength. They made a deal where Walker wouldn't reveal Jones' powers, and Jones would not make Walker's troubled life public. One day, Dorothy tried to force Walker into vomiting, feeling her daughter had gained weight. Jessica came to Walker's rescue by punching Dorothy into a wall. In adulthood, Walker became estranged from Dorothy, and managed to leave the drugs behind.

Patsy becomes Trish

Quote1I don't get you. You have money, looks, a radio show, creepy if not adoring fans, and you're a freaking household name. What more do you want?"
"To save the world, of course.
Quote2
Jessica Jones and Trish Walker

In adulthood, Walker reinvented herself as Trish Walker, host of acclaimed radio talk show Trish Talk on WNEX Station. She still encouraged Jessica to using her powers to be a hero. Walker had a suit and mask created and suggested that Jones use the moniker "Jewel". Walker told Jones that, though she was rich and had a talk show, she envied Jones and wished she had powers.

Hellcat

After Purple Man appeared in Jessica's life, the two adoptive sisters became distant due to Jones' PTSD. Walker tried to suggest a therapist and kept trying to maintain a relationship, but the other would refuse. Trish took up Krav Maga to defend herself, and when Jessica told her Kilgrave was back, she asked for fellow model Greer Grant's old "The Cat" superhero suit and aided her best friend, joining the Defenders.
