This article, LEGO Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows, is property of MaxGoji 2.0.

LEGO Puff of Responsibility: Story of a Hero is a LEGO stop motion brickfilm series created by Max Carroll. It is an adaptation of Max's immensely popular Spider-Man/Powerpuff Girls fanfiction A Puff of Responsibility, while also taking elements from it's anime remake, A Puff of Responsibility Z, Spider-Man: The Animated Series, and The Spectacular Spider-Man animated series. In the series, 15-year old transfer student Peter Parker moves from his home in New York City to Townsville with his Aunt May and Uncle Ben. He befriends the city's resident superheroines, the Powerpuff Girls, now teenagers, and becomes especially close with team leader Blossom Utonium. The series also serves as a retelling of the Spider-Man origin story, just like in the fanfiction and anime, with a few key elements mixed together. Along with the inclusion of classic Spider-Man foes such as the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, the Scorpion, the Lizard, Mysterio, and Venom, the series also features classic Powerpuff Girls enemies as well, such as Mojo Jojo, HIM, Princess Morbucks (who becomes the second Green Goblin halfway through Season 4), the Gangreen Gang, and the Amoeba Boys.

Episodes

Season 1: Heroes In All Shapes, Sizes, and Species

  • 1. Moving: 15-year old transfer student Peter Parker moves from his home in Forest Hills, Queens, New York to the city to the city of Townsville. The depressed intellectual then makes friends with the city's resident superheroines, the Powerpuff Girls, but still cannot overcome his wave of sadness and depression over leaving his old home.
  • 2. Changes: It's Peter's first day of school, but there's nothing too special about it, except for the fact that Peter's class, including the Powerpuff Girls, are going on a field trip to the Townsville Radiology Laboratory. However, during an experiment hosted by Peter's old science class professor Otto Octavius, the teenager is bitten by an irradiated spider, causing him to pass out.
  • 3. Transformations: After the spider bite, Peter reawakens in his home and is informed that he would be taking a few days off of school due to an "anomaly" in his DNA. During the course of the week, however, Peter begins exhibiting strange, new abilities, such as enhanced strength, speed, agility, reflexes, and equilibrium. He even develops the ability to shoot organic webbing from his wrists and to scale 90 degree surfaces.
  • 4. Victory: After arguing with Uncle Ben over his recent behavior as well as getting into a fight with a bully at school, Peter heads towards a wrestling ring in the city in the hopes of getting some money and impressing Blossom on a date. Peter then squares off against the city's champion wrestler, the Masked Wonder and secures a successful victory.
  • 5. Revenge: After Peter's victory over the Masked Wonder, he expects to get at least $2,000 in prize money. However, he is cheated out of the money by the promoter, who claims that he didn't put in enough time to earn the full reward. In response, Peter allows an armed thief to escape with the promoter's cash out of revenge.
  • 6. The Amazing, Spectacular, and Sensational: In the wake of Uncle Ben's death, Peter decides to put his powers to good use and become a masked crime fighter, taking on the name, costume, and persona of Spider-Man. In his first act of super-heroic community service, Spider-Man must do battle with a group of armed thugs holding up the subway.
  • 7. Bird of Prey: When disgraced inventor Adrian Toomes kidnaps Professor Utonium, his former partner, he tries to get revenge on the aged professor by killing him. Now, Spider-Man must come to the rescue of his girlfriend's father and save him from the sharp talons of the Vulture.
  • 8. Shakin' 'n' Quakin': When Peter and Blossom go out on a date to a fancy restaurant in Townsville, they are rudely interrupted by the sudden appearance of the new super villain Shocker. Things then become awkward when Peter, wearing his costume, must team up with Blossom in order to take down Shocker, who has the two pinned down behind a wall.
  • 9. Predatorial Instinct: When Spider-Man stops yet another plot by Mojo Jojo to take over Townsville, the villainous monkey vows revenge. Meanwhile, Peter's science partner, the geeky Mac Gargan who has a crush on classmate Sally, is bullied repeatedly by Mitch Mitchelson. Feeling weak, Mac is little resistant to an offer given by Mojo in order to get revenge on Spider-Man by participating in an experiment which would make the teenager strong enough to defeat the hero. Combining his DNA with that of a scorpion, Mojo loses control when an insane Mac escapes captivity and returns to Pokey Oaks High School, intending to get revenge on the ones who bullied and teased him. Now, Spider-Man and the Powerpuff Girls must team up in order to find a cure for a further mutating Scorpion, who now seeks revenge on Mojo Jojo for ruining his life.
