History

Hogun, the Grim is one of Asgard's fiercest warriors. He may be a Vanir, but there's no denying that his skills even impress the God of Thunder himself. A member of the Warriors Three, Hogun serves Asgard without question and follows the All-Father's commands. Beware brigands, for Hogun never leaves his enemies alive in battle!

Before Mighty Defenders

Hogun's origins are a mix of his Earth-616 and Earth-199999 incarnations. Hailing from Vanaheim, Hogun was relocated to Asgard following his home's destruction by a warlord from outside the Nine Realms and his family's demise. Like his mainstream version, he was restored by Thor following the Aesir's Ragnarok. Afterwards, his journey remains the same.

Class 35. Thanks to his intensive training, Hogun is stronger than ordinary Asgardians despite being a Vanir.

Transportation: On-foot, sometimes on a winged horse.
Weapons:

• Hridgandr: Also referred to as the Storm Wand, Hridgandr is Hogun's primary weapon. It is a reliable mace made of metals from both Vanaheim and Asgard that packs a punch thanks to its composition and extra knobs on the head. It is however, not an Uru-based weapon.
• Dagger: Although his mace takes most of the spotlight, Hogun has a dagger sheathed on the back of his hand. The weapon is made of Asgardian steel and can penetrate an armored truck's plating. It is a last-resort weapon, but the Vanir has no qualms using it to slaughter his enemies as a primary.

• This character is based on the Hogun of Earth-616 and Earth-199999, created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee and Ashley Miller, Mark Protosevich, and Zack Stentz debuting in Journey into Mystery #119 (August, 1965) and Thor (April 21, 2011) respectively.

• Mogul, the Mystic Mountain was not the one that destroyed Vanaheim, Hogun's homeland.
